Usually a baby smiles between the ages of 6 weeks to 8 weeks, sometimes less, sometimes more. It all depends on how you, as parents, behave around him and on how much your baby is comfortable.
For your baby to smile, he needs to be happy. And in order for your baby to be happy, you need to be happy. A baby has no idea what to feel or think, that’s why it’s easier for him to pick up your thoughts and feeling.
Always keep in mind, the more you’re happy, the more your baby is happy, the sooner he will flash you this cute smile of his.
So, if you want your baby to smile, here are some tips:
- Talk and Sing to him – for your angel, your voice is most comforting sound.
- Smile a lot when you’re around him – Babies imitate a lot, if you want him to smile, do it first!
- Play and Cuddle – Again, for him to smile, your baby needs to be comfortable.
And remember, every baby needs his own time to develop some kind of behaviors, don’t rush him. He will eventually give you the biggest smiles that you are waiting for!
